You may have never heard of Anti-Psychology before. However, when you may have been required to learn “psychology” and its pathologizations, did you ever think that their pathologizations to limit or blame the person internally was actually natural to humans? Everyone can feel sad, angry, confused, have survival instinct go on over-drive, fearful, nervous, have anticipation, boredom, and other emotions.
But why do they label these and twist them into disorders?
Anti-psychology states that instead of twisting these natural effects into disorders, that a person should instead utilize them and understand them as ‘normal.’ Normal is often controversial, however, it is normal in the fact that it is YOUR natural reaction to events, people, circumstances, and so forth. It is normal to you.
Moreover, that field has false dilemmas and dichotomies, frequently. It is as if someone thought these theories would apply to everyone, when they certainly do not. For example, the labels for parenting styles only has 3 examples, when likely, it is a variety of styles. Moreover, there are massive fallacies in the “founders” of psychology itself.
Once you realize that these reactions are natural, and normal to you, then it is far easier to be resilient, overcome adversity, and have self-control. By pathologizing, psychology removes a person’s self-control over their own life. It is true that personality affects a person, but with externalizing, a person can see that they can control their environment, their actions, and how they influence others or are influenced.
Psychology prefers a person to stop focusing on their actions to create needed change, and to focus inward. Hence, this field often wants life-long dependence upon “professionals” who will rehash and spotlight a person’s problems “internally” instead of what they can DO, or their strengths. Motivationology states that a person should focus outward. Motivationology, if followed correctly, should empower people to be their own leaders, and not require dependence. Strengths should be focused on, and that is motivational.
Moreover, psychology can be highly manipulative. You may have heard in the news about manipulation through the creation of personality profiles, and to show photos, videos, words, and at moments or timings to change people’s thoughts, actions, and feelings. Cambridge Analytica is one such example of an exploiting company. In fact, focusing on fear and a person’s weaknesses can cause them to be manipulated. Motivationology does not do this practice, since motivation can never exploit weaknesses. The person will be un-motivated otherwise.
Motivationology, by focusing outward and externally, prevents a person from being manipulated. Non-conformity as a tenet as well, which provides more independence for the person. Inwardly, a person can get lost in pathologization and self-blame. Externally, a person understands that they can act differently from others, but that is their normal, natural reaction. It is beneficial to be different and everyone could be different from each other, rather than standardized.
The Psych Industry has a foundation of punishment. Even today, it invokes fear, coercion, electricity, and pain onto victims, who are unheard. The evidence of this underclass can be seen at Everyday Psych Victims Project (LINK). Discrimination, eugenics, and endless silencing atrocities are connected to this industry. It is not all fair in love and war.
With this tenant, a person focuses on what actions they can take. Instead of rejecting how they feel, they understand it, and channel it. Further, if others take this view and the other tenets of Motivationology, especially Relationship Triage, which is a work in progress, then they should know how to reflect the opposite to a person. Essentially, the causes are found, and then the person can reflect solutions to them, and strengths instead. This is an effective process.
Disobeying authority and critical thinking. These are both anti-theses to that field. Disobeying authority, in fact, can lead to more punishment. Authority is conformist and forces dependence. Proponents will claim it is “help” and not punishment, but realize that terms and words can be twisted, and turned into words that act like deceptive smoke and mirrors. Again, psychology understands how words can be deceptive. It is used in operations to confuse targets, and even in programming! If governments use it in torture, how could you trust it being used on yourself in the same or lesser manner? Critical thinking would go against this field, since it is projecting and is not fact.
Survival instinct and survival. “Mental health” is highly against this recognition of instinct, survival, and natural reactions. In fact, there are excerpts that show wanting to pathologize, label, and limit those who react to their environment or circumstances with intensity. This is natural to react in this way. There is nothing wrong with going against the status quo or “norms” to survive. This is controversial, but anyone needs to hear this. Often, survival reactions can make a person seem “disordered” or well “out of social order” is the more accurate term, until they completely know that they no longer need to be on edge. Even though they can think or realize that they are, sometimes the body will still not change completely because of time for adaptation. This then lengthens the time.
The time could be lengthened to endless amounts with psychology spotlighting the negativity over and over again. They focus on your problems, not the strengths and solutions. They do not externalize to present beneficial actions. Of course problems are recognized, but that is not the answer to resilience.
Humans are essentially animals. Although animals are now being pathologized as well, people need to realize that they can recover faster with Anti-Psych. Those emotions are your personality and reactions to the environment, surroundings, other people, or situation. There’s nothing wrong with that. Instead of needing to punish oneself for their feelings, as if they are “abnormal” for feeling, they should see them as temporary and/or natural.
Innovation, creativity, and change is far easier with this view, as well as self-leadership.
The Cheetah is here to help people visualize going faster, and overcoming. In the introduction video, it shows a white flash right at “Anti-Psychology” before the Cheetah and the race car are no longer in tandem. This is the ultimate tenet to empower a person to not self-discriminate or discriminate against others based off calling a person “imbalanced.” They aren’t. It’s natural.
It further, protects freedom of speech, thought, and movement, as well as other rights. Psych is essentially thought and speech control, since no actions are necessary.
