It’s a situation, not looking inward.
Situational aid means evaluating the situation and taking action to change that situation.
What’s the reason? After finding out what is problematic surrounding a person and the reasons in each person’s individual case, we can then look at choices to solve them.
This looks at the environment, economics, adversity, social factors, societal systems, laws, relationships, goals, physical issues, and lack of opportunities that may be adversely affecting them.
What can we do next?
By looking into situational aid, we are problem solving and critical thinking. We’re also helping the person see that they (internally) are not at fault. Instead, decisions, choices, and situations can be at fault. A situation can be easily changed, but a person internally cannot be. We also do not want people to think it’s their fault internally, and avoid discrimination or weakness spotlighting.
Instead, we spotlight what is wrong in the surroundings.
Now, we and the person we’re helping can see what’s wrong with their surroundings. We can fix their surroundings or work on fixing the situation. Even if the issues are too large to overcome completely, we can work on action to solve and mitigate them. In effect, we come to a better solution.
We can move into social and economic aid, legal aid, activism, legislation, career opportunity, interests, protocol, networking, and more. We can look into finding solutions to the problems.
We also influence people more when they realize it’s the situation, not themselves.
I personally could be influential in my past. If I could advise on true rehabilitation of people or improving them, that would be easy, however, I had to create Motivationology’s recipe on my own. There further are some systems which can be too strong to overcome. Never-the-less, as influencers and change-makers, we do what we can.
Looking at what’s missing for solving a problem is also an entrepreneurial concept of finding a niche. Never-the-less, social understanding and entrepreneurial concepts can mix. Creating products, organizations, and businesses can also be ways to do situational aid. Then we can see the cause and effect reactions in an evolution to understand the best solution.
Social aid can involve standing up for others, forging connections for them, spotlighting strengths, giving support, and taking actions.
Each person’s situation is different. It’s important to view their case because it won’t always be the same per person.
Situational aid can also apply to regions, groups, and metro-areas.
What’s the individualized situation of a particular geographical region? A situation can interlink with other people in a cultural effect. What we then try to do is a harder conceptual change of a paradigm shift. These shifts can take years to truly do, and it often requires a chain reaction from other people. However, to start a movement or a significant change involves at least one person strategizing and spotlighting what’s important.
In situational aid, it’s important to see the cause and effect. If you want to change a situation, it may be unclear how to obtain the solution completely, but continual steps (as if in an agile or evolutionary method) is working on helping the person or group in their situation.
I hope people see how necessary it is to look at the situation in order to solve or help a person or group/region.
It’s also the newest “35th tenet” of Motivationology.
